"Adams' House"

“Adams’ House was based on a memory and the architectural plans of the house in Jamaica Estates, NY where Adams grew up. Built by her father (Mr. Adams’ House), the neighborhood was undergoing rapid development so that as a child, the artist was literally surrounded by construction. Adams uses structural architectural references as a way of enticing the viewer. She believes that buildings are the most intimate part of people’s lives, if only on a subconscious level.”
