African Garden” built in 1993, in a schoolyard between two playgrounds, is 66 feet long by 42 feet wide. It represents an intervention into the architectural plan in order to develop a line of fourteen seats based on African carved wood stool and bench forms. They introduce a new reference into park and garden furniture. Made of cast iron, fabricated steel and wood they are arranged within the indentations in the angular edge the artist has created for them.
